ADB-Japan Scholarship Program
The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program is a fully funded scholarship designed for professionals from developing countries who seek to enhance their skills through a master's degree. Since its inception in 1988, the program has aimed to provide advanced training to citizens of ADB's developing member countries, enabling them to contribute to their home country's development upon their return.
This scholarship is not merely a study-abroad opportunity; it is a strategic investment in the development of individuals who are committed to addressing real challenges in their countries. Applicants must demonstrate relevant work experience and a clear plan for applying their education to their existing roles.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the ADB-Japan Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of one of the 38 eligible ADB developing member countries.
- Currently reside and work in their home country.
- Have at least 2 years of full-time work experience after obtaining their bachelor's degree.
- Be under 35 years old at the time of application (with rare exceptions for senior officials).
- Hold a bachelor's degree with a strong academic record (approximately a GPA of 3.5/4.0 or higher).
- Commit to returning to their home country after graduation.
