This opportunity provides a 100% tuition fee waiver for outstanding African students pursuing a postgraduate Master’s degree in the UK. With up to 16 awards available, this scholarship applies to any eligible Master’s programme offered by the university, giving students flexibility across disciplines. Eligibility
The African Excellence Award is open to students across Africa who meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate academic excellence, equivalent to a UK First-Class Honours degree
- Hold (or plan to secure) an offer for a one-year postgraduate taught Master’s programme
- Have international fee status
- Be domiciled in Africa and hold a passport from an eligible African country
- Present a clear career or development plan showing how the Master’s degree will support future impact.
Benefits
The scholarship covers full tuition fees. However, recipients must demonstrate they can meet UK visa financial requirements, including living expenses.
