Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant and 50% loan basis through a competitive application process.

Eligibility

Applicants must be nationals of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, or Mozambique. Preference is given to students under 30 years of age. Applicants must also be residing in countries with local Aga Khan Foundation offices that process applications.

Benefits

The Foundation assists with tuition fees and living expenses. Half of the scholarship amount is considered a loan, which must be reimbursed with an annual service charge of 5%.
