Asian Development Bank - Japan Scholarship Program
The Asian Development Bank - Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) offers a prestigious full-ride scholarship for prospective applicants to the Master's Program in Economic Development at Ritsumeikan University. This program is designed for individuals who have a strong academic background and professional experience, aiming to enhance their skills and knowledge in economic development.
ADB-JSP alumni are recognized for their contributions at high professional levels across Asia and globally. The scholarship covers tuition and living expenses, allowing scholars to focus entirely on their studies in Japan, starting in September 2026.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the ADB-JSP, applicants must:
- Be a national of an ADB borrowing member country.
- Have gained admission to an approved postgraduate course.
- Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
- Have at least two years of full-time professional work experience.
- Be proficient in English and in good health.
- Agree to return to their home country after completing their studies.
Additionally, applicants must be under 35 years old, not hold a master's or doctoral degree, and not be affiliated with the ADB or its member institutions.
