British Council TESOL Scholarships 2026 (Fully Funded): Study in the UK for Teachers in Africa, Europe and Asia

The British Council English and School Education Scholarships Scheme 2026 is a fully funded international scholarship programme aimed at enhancing English language teaching (ELT) in government school systems across selected countries. This opportunity is designed for experienced teachers and teacher educators to pursue a part-time, online Master’s degree in TESOL while continuing their professional work.

With 40 fully funded scholarships available, participants will benefit from comprehensive support, including full tuition fees, international flights, accommodation, and a living stipend during a two-week study visit to the UK. This programme not only provides academic qualifications but also fosters professional networking and mentorship opportunities.

Applicants must be citizens and permanent residents of Ghana, Kenya, Türkiye, Bangladesh, India, or Sri Lanka. They should work in or directly with the government education system as active English language teachers or teacher educators. Candidates must meet the academic requirements of the selected university and demonstrate a commitment to improving national ELT systems.

The scholarship covers full tuition fees, return international flights to the UK, accommodation during the UK study visit, a daily living stipend, visa application fee reimbursement, and one English language test fee.
