The Commonwealth Distance Learning Master's Scholarships offer talented professionals from developing Commonwealth countries the chance to pursue fully funded Master's degrees from leading UK universities. Delivered entirely by distance learning, these scholarships allow individuals to gain advanced qualifications without relocating or interrupting their careers. This initiative is funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and aims to build capacity across developing countries.
The scholarships cover 100% of tuition fees and provide additional study grants where required. They focus on key development themes such as access and inclusion, innovation, science and technology, and public health, making them particularly beneficial for working professionals, including nurses and public health practitioners.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen or have refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth country (e.g., Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, India, Pakistan, Uganda).
- Be permanently resident in their home country.
- Hold at least a 2:1 honours degree by September 2026 (or demonstrate relevant professional experience).
- Show strong commitment to contributing to sustainable development.
- Be unable to fund their studies independently.
