Confucius Institute Scholarship 2026, China (Fully Funded)
The Confucius Institute Scholarship is a prestigious fully funded scholarship in China for international students who wish to study Chinese language, culture, and teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This scholarship supports students from around the world to study at over 150 Chinese universities, making it one of the most popular opportunities for learning Mandarin in China.

Eligibility
Open to all international students who are non-Chinese citizens. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health and meet the following age requirements:
- 16–35 years (up to 45 for in-service Chinese language teachers)
- Undergraduate applicants must not exceed 20 years of age.
Academic requirements include a high school diploma for Chinese language or BTCSOL programs and a bachelor’s degree for MTCSOL programs. Recommendation letters are also required.

Benefits
The scholarship covers full tuition fees, accommodation in a university dormitory, basic medical insurance, and a monthly living allowance of 2,500 RMB for Chinese language and BTCSOL students, and 3,000 RMB for MTCSOL students. An additional housing subsidy of 700 RMB per month is available for approved off-campus living.
