DAAD GROW Scholarships 2026 for International Researchers (Fully Funded)
The DAAD GROW – Global Research Opportunities for the South Scholarships offer fully funded research grants in Germany for early-career researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and established academics. This program supports scholars from Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia, providing opportunities for academic collaboration and global networking while focusing on sustainable development goals.
With access to world-class universities and research institutes, the DAAD GROW initiative enables scholars to conduct independent research projects, develop joint proposals, and enhance their academic careers through international partnerships.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Doctoral candidates (PhD students), postdoctoral researchers, university lecturers, or established academics.
- Employed at a recognized university or research institute in their home country.
- From countries listed under the OECD DAC list, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
Special consideration is given to women applicants and individuals from low-income or disadvantaged backgrounds.

- Monthly stipend: €1,400 for PhD students and postdocs, €2,000 for lecturers/assistant professors, €2,150 for full professors.
