DAAD Research Grants 2027 for Doctoral and Early-Career Researchers (Fully Funded)

The DAAD Research Grants in Germany programme offers doctoral candidates and early-career researchers from around the world the opportunity to undertake funded research projects at German universities and research institutions. This prestigious scholarship supports international academic collaboration and enables researchers to advance their studies through access to Germany’s world-class higher education and research infrastructure.

Successful applicants will receive comprehensive financial support, including monthly scholarship payments, health insurance, and research allowances, allowing them to focus on their academic work while in Germany. The programme also provides language training and academic preparation support to enhance integration into the German academic environment.

Open to doctoral candidates enrolled at universities or research institutions outside Germany, early-career postdoctoral researchers, and researchers who completed their doctorate within the last four years. Applicants pursuing their entire doctoral studies at a German university are not eligible.

Monthly scholarship payments of €1,400, health, accident, and personal liability insurance, travel allowance for stays over six months, and research allowance of €460 for projects longer than six months.
