The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree Programme in International Humanitarian Action (NOHA) is a prestigious, fully international postgraduate programme designed for students and professionals aiming to build careers in humanitarian relief, disaster response, and international cooperation. Supported by the European Union under Erasmus Mundus, the programme combines academic excellence, practical training, and mandatory international mobility.

This globally recognized master’s degree has been educating humanitarian professionals since 1993 and continues to attract students from all over the world.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in International Humanitarian Action, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 180 ECTS or equivalent) in a relevant field such as social sciences, law, economics, engineering, medical or health sciences, humanities, or education sciences.
  • Demonstrate strong motivation and commitment to humanitarian action.
  • Meet English language proficiency requirements, such as:
    • IELTS: minimum overall score 6.5
    • TOEFL iBT: minimum score 93
    • Cambridge CAE or CPE.
  • Willingness to complete mandatory physical mobility in at least two countries.

Benefits

Selected scholarship holders may receive:

  • Monthly stipend of €1,400 for up to 24 months
  • Contribution toward travel expenses, visa and installation costs, living and subsistence expenses, and insurance coverage for the full study period.
