The FAO Global Youth Contest 2026 invites young learners and professionals to share their experiences with the FAO elearning Academy. Participants can submit a short story detailing how their learning has impacted their studies, careers, or community actions. Three winners will receive a fully funded trip to Rome to attend the World Food Forum 2026, providing a platform to amplify youth voices in the global agrifood dialogue.

This contest not only celebrates individual learning journeys but also aims to inspire peers by showcasing authentic stories of impact. It encourages participants to reflect on their experiences and demonstrate how they have applied their knowledge in real-life contexts.

Eligibility

Applicants must be aged 18–35 years, from any country or region, and registered learners of the FAO elearning Academy. They should demonstrate how their learning has contributed to their knowledge and skills, and must have completed FAO courses to obtain certified digital badges.

Benefits

The prize includes a fully funded trip to Rome, attendance at the World Food Forum, coverage of all travel and participation costs, and an invitation to share their stories in a video interview.
