Fulbright Vietnam Scholarship 2027/2028 for Vietnamese Scholars (Research Opportunities)

The Fulbright Vietnam Scholarship and U.S.-ASEAN Scholar Program for the 2027-2028 academic year is designed for lecturers, researchers, experts, and staff from Vietnam's government agencies, research institutes, NGOs, or the private sector. This program offers a chance to conduct research or teach in the United States, enhancing academic and professional development.

Candidates can apply for a one-semester scholarship lasting approximately 5 months or a one-year scholarship lasting about 9 months. The U.S.-ASEAN Scholars Program will last 3 to 4 months, focusing on key issues in U.S.-ASEAN relations and relevant topics for ASEAN member states.

Applicants must be Vietnamese citizens with a master's or doctoral degree (or equivalent qualifications). They should not hold dual citizenship or permanent residency in another country and must have proficient English skills. Candidates must be residing in Vietnam and commit to returning after the program. Ineligible applicants include those currently in the U.S. or who have received a Fulbright scholarship within the last five years.
