
German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarships 2027 for African Graduates (Fully Funded)
The German Bundestag International Parliamentary Scholarships (IPS) offers a prestigious, fully funded opportunity for young graduates from Africa who are passionate about politics, governance, and democratic development. Participants will live and study in Berlin, gaining firsthand experience of the German parliamentary system through structured political and educational activities.
This program empowers young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa, providing them with the tools and knowledge to engage in democratic governance and civic leadership. The IPS 2027 program lasts four weeks, from January 4 to February 2, 2027, and includes an internship in the German Parliament, workshops, and training sessions.
Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, or Uganda.
- Be under 30 years old as of January 1, 2027.
- Hold a completed university degree.
- Have a strong interest in politics, governance, or civic leadership.
- Demonstrate active social or political engagement.
- Possess German language proficiency (minimum B2 level CEFR).
