GROW – Global Research Opportunities for the South

Humboldt-Universität zu BerlinGlobalScholarshipsPosted

The GROW program is designed for early-career researchers and experienced scientists from countries on the OECD-DAC list, with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and Asia. It supports short research stays in Germany, as well as preparatory and collaborative trips to facilitate the implementation of development-relevant research projects and the establishment of international scientific collaborations.

Participants will enhance their professional, methodological, and analytical skills, expand their scientific networks, and increase their visibility in the international research context. After the program, they will contribute their acquired knowledge and contacts to their home institutions, aiding in research, teaching, knowledge transfer, and institutional development.

Eligibility

Applicants must be doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, university lecturers, or experienced scientists from countries on the OECD-DAC list, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa, but also in Latin America and Asia, who are working at a university or research institute there. Women, socio-economically disadvantaged individuals, and those from marginalized regions or groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

You cannot apply if you are already in Germany or if your entire doctoral or postdoctoral research is being conducted at a German university.

Deadline: Ongoing
