The Industrial Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded initiative designed to build vaccine manufacturing workforce capacity in Africa. This program offers recent graduates a one-year industrial placement at active vaccine manufacturing sites in Egypt, Senegal, or South Africa, focusing on current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and technical skills development.

By addressing the urgent need for skilled vaccine manufacturing professionals, this initiative aims to quadruple the continent’s vaccine workforce, providing practical, industry-relevant training that enhances employability in vaccine manufacturing institutions.

Eligibility

  • Recent graduates (not more than 3 years) with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biomanufacturing/vaccine manufacturing.
  • Citizens of an African Union Member State.
  • Must possess a valid passport.
  • Must be available for the industrial fellowship program in one of the listed countries.
  • Proficiency in English or French is required.
