The International Graduate Scholarship 2025-26 offers Pakistani and international students the opportunity to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree in Japan. This fully funded program supports students through tuition exemption, monthly stipends, and travel costs, making it accessible for those who may not have the means to study abroad.
This scholarship is part of Japan’s MEXT University Recommendation Program, allowing students to engage in various scientific and technological fields while experiencing Japan’s vibrant academic culture. With no strict language requirements, this program opens doors for many aspiring scholars.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree for Master’s admission or a Master’s degree for PhD admission.
- Be a citizen of a country that maintains diplomatic relations with Japan, including Pakistan.
- Be born on or after 2 April 1988.
- Apply for a study field related to their previous academic background.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance and research potential.
- Show English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL not mandatory if previous education was in English).

- Monthly stipend of approximately 147,000 yen for Master’s and 148,000 yen for PhD.
