This role provides hands-on experience in global research projects that explore the intersection of food security, conflict, and sustainable development. Designed for students and early-career researchers, this internship is ideal for those looking to gain practical exposure to international peacebuilding and humanitarian work.

Interns will work closely with SIPRI researchers and external partners, contributing to various aspects of project coordination and research. This includes conducting literature reviews, supporting qualitative research processes, and assisting in organizing meetings with project partners.

Eligibility

To be considered for this internship, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in a university programme or affiliated with an organisation that supports internships
  • Have valid insurance through their institution
  • Provide a contact person (e.g., academic supervisor or programme coordinator)

Ideal candidates will have ongoing studies in fields such as international relations, political science, development studies, food security, or climate change, and must be fluent in both English and French.
