LCEL Luxembourg Scholarship 2026 for Early Career Researchers (Up to €1,800 Monthly)
The LCEL Early Career Scholars Visiting Programme 2026 offers a short-term funded research stay in Luxembourg for advanced PhD candidates, postdocs, and early faculty working in EU law. This program provides financial support of up to €1,800 per month for 1–2 months between September and December 2026, aimed at helping scholars finalize or advance high-level legal research.
This initiative not only offers funding but also grants access to Luxembourg’s legal ecosystem, including the LCEL library and academic events, fostering collaboration with international scholars in the field of EU law.
Eligibility
Applicants must be early career researchers—advanced PhD candidates, postdoctoral scholars, or assistant professors—working specifically in EU law or closely related interdisciplinary areas. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and scholars already based in Luxembourg are not eligible.
Benefits
The program offers a monthly allowance of up to €1,800 to cover daily expenses during the research stay. Accommodation costs may also be reimbursed up to €1,200 for one month.
