The Ngā Ara Mātua Scholarship is designed to support Ngāti Tūwharetoa undergraduate students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. This scholarship encourages students to engage in studies that align with the cultural and strategic goals of the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board, focusing on areas such as business, education, health, law, and technology.
The scholarship offers a value of $2,500, which can be used for tuition fees and/or accommodation, and aims to foster the academic success and cultural connection of Ngāti Tūwharetoa students within the university.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Full-time students at Victoria University of Wellington pursuing an undergraduate qualification.
- Studying in one of the following areas: Commerce, Education, Engineering, Environmental Science, Health, Law, or Te Reo Māori.
- Registered with the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board.
