
OPEC/OFID Scholarships 2016 for International Students (Up to USD 50,000)
The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) offers scholarships for students from developing countries who wish to pursue a Master’s degree. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden of graduate studies, enabling talented individuals to further their education in various fields related to development.
Scholarships are available for up to four candidates, covering a maximum of USD 50,000 for one year of study at an accredited institution. Eligible fields include energy, transportation, agriculture, health, and more, aligning with OFID's mission to support sustainable development.
Eligibility
Applicants must be between the ages of 23-32, hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates must be nationals of a developing country (excluding OFID Member Countries) and must have secured admission to a relevant Master’s program for the academic year starting August/September 2016.
Benefits
Scholarship covers up to USD 50,000 for tuition and related expenses for one year.
