
PhD Scholarships 2018 for Students in Social Human Rights (Monthly Grant Available)
The Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung is offering two Ph.D. scholarships focused on Global Social Rights, starting on April 1, 2018. This program is designed for students interested in Social Human Rights and aims to foster interdisciplinary research across various fields including legal studies, political science, philosophy, sociology, and economics. Scholarship holders will be part of a cooperative doctoral research group at the Universities of Kassel and Fulda.
Each scholarship includes a monthly grant of EUR 1,350.00 along with additional funds for research expenses. This opportunity not only supports academic growth but also encourages active participation in civic and social projects aligned with the foundation's mission.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold an MA, Diplom, or master's degree with at least a 'good' mark. They should have current involvement in civic and social projects, a well-developed Ph.D. proposal, and a willingness to engage actively in related events. Proficiency in German (at least B2 level) is required, and the thesis can be written in either German or English.
Benefits
Monthly grant of EUR 1,350.00, EUR 100.00 for research expenses, and additional allowances for children and travel.
