
Programme Associate (Capacity Building)-SC6
The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, dedicated to saving lives in emergencies and using food assistance to build pathways to peace, stability, and prosperity. This position is crucial for enhancing WFP's capacity to deliver effective humanitarian assistance in Sudan, a country facing complex humanitarian crises. The Programme Associate will provide technical leadership and operational support to advance WFP's cross-cutting priorities, ensuring that interventions are safe, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of affected populations.
This role involves specialized support in rolling out capacity-strengthening initiatives, maintaining safeguarding systems, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure principled and accountable assistance. It offers an exciting opportunity to work in a diverse and multicultural environment, contributing to the mission of WFP in a challenging context.
Eligibility
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, Political Science, International Studies, Human Rights, or a related field. A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian programming, particularly in protection and accountability, is required. Strong command of written and spoken English and Arabic is essential.
