
Samia Scholarship 2026/2027 for Tanzanian Students (Comprehensive Financial Support)
The Samia Scholarship 2026/2027 is designed to support top-performing Tanzanian students in science subjects who wish to pursue higher education in priority fields such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and Health Sciences. This initiative reflects the Government's commitment to promoting academic excellence and increasing access to quality higher education.
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive financial support covering tuition fees, accommodation, meals, books, and other essential expenses throughout their studies, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their academic pursuits.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Samia Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Excel in science subjects with outstanding performance in ACSEE science combinations.
- Be listed by HESLB for scholarship applications.
- Secure admission to an accredited higher learning institution in Tanzania.
- Study eligible programmes in Natural Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Health Sciences.
- Complete the OLAMS application.
- Not receive full sponsorship from another scholarship programme.
Deadline: Applications open after NECTA ACSEE 2026 results are released.
Benefits
The scholarship covers:
- Tuition fees up to TZS 5,000,000 per year.
- Meals and accommodation at TZS 10,000 per day.
- Books and stationery up to TZS 200,000 per year.
- Research expenses up to TZS 500,000 per year.
- Health insurance at TZS 50,400 annually.
