Shanghai Government Scholarship 2026 in China
The Shanghai Government Scholarship 2026 is now open for international students who want to study in China. This scholarship supports outstanding foreign students pursuing undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programs at participating universities in Shanghai. It is designed to attract talented students from around the world and strengthen international academic exchange in one of China’s leading education and innovation hubs.
The scholarship offers two categories: Type A (Full Scholarship) which includes full tuition waiver, on-campus accommodation, a monthly living allowance, and comprehensive medical insurance; and Type B (Partial Scholarship) which includes a full tuition waiver and comprehensive medical insurance.
Eligibility
To apply for the Shanghai Government Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Be a non-Chinese citizen
- Be in good health
- Have a strong academic background and good conduct
- Meet the admission requirements of the chosen program
- Meet the language requirements for the selected course
- For undergraduate applicants: hold a high school diploma and generally be under the required age limit set by the institution.
Benefits
