Slovakia Opens Fully Funded Scholarships for Kenyans for 2026/2027 Academic Year
The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Nairobi, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, is offering fully funded scholarship opportunities for Kenyans to study in Slovakia for the 2026/2027 academic year. This initiative aims to support students aged between 18 and 25 who wish to pursue bachelor's, master's, and PhD studies across various fields at public universities in Slovakia.
The scholarships cover tuition fees, accommodation expenses, and subsistence allowances for the entire duration of study, providing a unique chance for Kenyan learners to gain international academic exposure. However, successful applicants will need to cover their own airfare costs and are advised to have additional funds for initial expenses upon arrival.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Kenyan nationals aged between 18 and 25. They should have completed the necessary academic qualifications for the programs they wish to pursue. Additionally, selected students will be required to undergo a one-year intensive Slovak language training before admission.
Benefits
The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation expenses, and subsistence allowances. Airfare costs are not covered, estimated between Ksh 120,000 and Ksh 150,000 (EUR 800 and 1,000).
