The UNESCO Youth Hackathon 2026 invites young people aged 18 to 30 from around the world to develop innovative solutions that enhance Media and Information Literacy (MIL). This global initiative encourages collaboration and creativity to tackle challenges related to information, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
Participants will have access to a structured mentoring program on July 1-2, 2026, before submitting their proposals. Winning teams will be invited to present their projects at the Voices European Festival of Journalism and Media Freedom in Thessaloniki, Greece, from November 26-28, 2026.
Eligibility
Open to young people aged 18 to 30 from any country worldwide.
