
UNFPA Consultancy 2026 for Senior Public Health Experts (Fully Remote)
The UNFPA is seeking an experienced international consultant to lead a high-impact regional analysis on adolescent pregnancy and HIV in West and Central Africa. This consultancy focuses on generating evidence to inform policy, programming, and advocacy, addressing critical public health challenges affecting young people, particularly girls and young women.
The consultancy aims to develop a comprehensive, youth-informed evidence base that guides strategic interventions under UNFPA’s regional roadmap for reducing maternal mortality (2025–2029). The consultant will engage in research, stakeholder engagement, and tool development to influence regional strategies and national-level interventions.
Eligibility
Candidates must have an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in public health, demography, epidemiology, sociology, economics, or related fields. A minimum of 10 years of experience in public health research or programme design is required, along with expertise in sexual and reproductive health, particularly for adolescents. Fluency in both English and French is required, and knowledge of Portuguese is advantageous.
