UNIDO Project Associate (IFTI) 2026 for Young Professionals from the Global South (Paid Opportunity)

The UNIDO Project Associate – Industrial Futures Talent Initiative (IFTI) 2026 is a competitive early-career opportunity designed for young professionals from underrepresented countries. This program offers hands-on experience in international development, industrial policy, and sustainable economic transformation at UNIDO Headquarters in Vienna, Austria.

Participants will gain exposure to real-world projects that advance inclusive and sustainable industrial development, while also benefiting from mentorship and professional development opportunities within a global institution.

Applicants must be:

• Aged between 23 and 28 years old.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Nationals of eligible underrepresented UNIDO Member States (primarily from the Global South).
• Fluent in English; knowledge of an additional UN language is desirable.

Participants receive a competitive salary of approximately EUR 4,000 gross per month, air travel allowance, and a 50% medical insurance subsidy.
