
University of Port Harcourt Mastercard Scholarship 2026 for Nigerian Students (Fully Funded)
The University of Port Harcourt Mastercard Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity designed for academically capable but economically disadvantaged students. This scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, laptop provision, research costs, conference participation, workshops, and monthly living stipends, enabling students to complete their studies and contribute to societal development.
The scholarship is part of the TAGDev 2.0 Programme aimed at transforming African agricultural universities and equipping young Africans with relevant skills for inclusive and climate-resilient agricultural transformation.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen or a refugee residing in Nigeria
- Come from economically disadvantaged, marginalised, or conflict-affected communities
- Be under 25 years (undergraduate) or under 30 years (master’s) at the time of application
- Have completed previous studies within the required timeframe (2 years for general applicants, 4 years for refugees/IDPs)
- Meet the University of Port Harcourt admission requirements
- Show interest in agriculture, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship
- Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to community development
- Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
