The University of York GREAT Scholarship 2026 offers financial support for international students pursuing a one-year postgraduate degree in the UK. In partnership with the British Council, this scholarship provides a minimum of £10,000 to help cover tuition costs, making high-quality education more accessible.
With 5 scholarships available across various postgraduate disciplines, eligible students from specific countries can apply for a range of courses. This initiative not only supports students financially but also encourages cultural exchange and academic collaboration.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of China, Indonesia, Malaysia, or Kenya and pay tuition fees at the overseas fee rate. They must have a conditional or unconditional offer for a one-year postgraduate taught course at the University of York. Note that Nigerian applicants are only eligible for postgraduate Law programmes. Language requirements must be met by May 11, 2026.
Benefits
The scholarship provides £10,000 toward tuition fees and can be combined with other funding sources, provided total funding does not fully cover tuition fees.
