
Winiarski Scholarships 2027 for International Legal Scholars (£3,250 Research Funding)
The Winiarski Scholarships 2027 offer early-career and established legal researchers the chance to undertake a funded research visit at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, one of the world's leading centres for international law. Each selected scholar receives a grant of £3,250 to support an 8-week research visit, contributing towards travel, accommodation, and living costs.
This programme is designed to foster academic exchange and strengthen research collaboration in international law, welcoming scholars from specific regions to engage with a vibrant academic community and access world-class legal research facilities.
Eligibility
Open to PhD candidates, PhD holders, and academic researchers from the following regions:
- Visegrad and Western Balkans States (1 scholarship): Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo.
- Eastern Partnership States (1 scholarship): Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine.
Applicants must demonstrate strong academic engagement in international law or closely related disciplines.
Benefits
Each scholar receives a grant of £3,250 to cover costs such as travel, visa expenses, accommodation, insurance, and living costs during the stay.
