Applications are now open for the Women in DeFi (WID) Laptop Scholarship 2026, an empowering opportunity created to support young African women who are building or learning in the Web3 and blockchain space. This program provides practical support by giving selected participants a free laptop, along with mentorship and career development opportunities.
The initiative is designed to help women in Africa gain the tools they need to grow in technology, decentralized finance, and other emerging digital sectors, thereby reducing the gender gap in Web3.
Eligibility

- Be actively learning or building in the Web3 ecosystem
- Show a genuine need for a personal laptop
- Demonstrate commitment to growth in technology or Web3-related fields
- Be available to attend the Women in DeFi Summit 2026
