The Young Trade Leaders Programme aims to foster a better understanding of the WTO’s work and international trade among young people by creating a network of 'Young Trade Leaders' around the world. This program is designed for individuals aged 18 to 30 who have a strong interest in international trade, providing them with the opportunity to learn about the WTO's operations and contribute to its mission.
Selected participants will gain insights into the workings of the WTO, publish content on trade-related topics, and attend a one-day training program in Geneva. This initiative not only enhances their understanding of trade but also empowers them to engage in constructive dialogue on trade issues.
Eligibility
- Age: 18 to 30 years on the application closing date.
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of a WTO member country.
- Affiliation: Not currently affiliated with the WTO or have a relative who is.
- Language: Proficient in written and spoken English; knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.
- Commitment: Willing to fully participate in the one-year program.
