The Young Leaders Program (YLP) 2027 is a two-year full-time consulting opportunity aimed at developing Africa’s next generation of leaders. Hosted by McKinsey & Company, this program provides ambitious graduates in Kenya and Ethiopia with hands-on experience in solving real-world business challenges while accelerating their professional growth in a globally recognized firm.
Participants will work directly with clients across various sectors, gaining exposure to high-impact projects and developing essential consulting skills. The program emphasizes mentorship, continuous learning, and offers a pathway to a Business Analyst role for high-performing participants.
Eligibility
To apply, candidates must:
- Be a 2026 or early 2027 graduate
- Be based in Kenya or Ethiopia
- Hold an undergraduate or master’s degree with strong academic performance
- Have less than 1 year of continuous work experience
- Demonstrate leadership through extracurricular or professional activities
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be fluent in English (and local language where applicable).
