
2026 EEP Africa Call for Proposals – Grant Financing for Innovative Clean Energy Solutions
The 2026 EEP Africa Call for Proposals invites private companies, start-ups, and social enterprises to apply for grant financing aimed at innovative clean energy solutions. This opportunity is designed for early-stage projects that demonstrate a clear need for financing and a path to profitability. EEP Africa supports projects that are locally driven and in active development, focusing on renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.
Eligible projects can receive grants between EUR 200,000 and 500,000, with a minimum required co-financing of 30-50% of the total project budget. This funding is crucial for advancing clean energy initiatives in various EEP Africa target countries, contributing to sustainable development and climate action.
Eligibility
Applicants must be private companies, start-ups, or social enterprises with a strong local presence in one of the EEP Africa target countries (Botswana, Burundi, Comoros, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe). All applicants must be registered legal entities for at least six months prior to the Expression of Interest opening date. NGOs, charities, research institutions, and government entities cannot apply but may serve as project partners.
Benefits
