2026 Mastercard Foundation Associates Program (12-month Paid Internship)
The Mastercard Foundation Associates Program connects talented young people with 12-month internships across Africa. This program offers mentorship, leadership training, and skill-building in employability and entrepreneurship, providing recent graduates with meaningful early-career opportunities. Since its inception, it has supported over 1,000 Associates from diverse backgrounds, including women and refugees, in developing their professional skills.
This internship is designed for young African graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in various sectors. Participants will receive a monthly stipend, mentorship, and access to professional networks, making it a valuable stepping stone in their careers.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- Recent graduates with 0–2 years of work experience.
- Alumni of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program or other Mastercard Foundation programs.
- Aged 18–35 and residing in Africa.
- Committed to leadership, employability, or entrepreneurship.
