The Africa CDC/AVMI Industrial Fellowship Programme in Vaccine Manufacturing 2026 offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates passionate about vaccine manufacturing in Africa. This one-year fellowship places young professionals at vaccine manufacturing sites in Egypt, Senegal, or South Africa, providing hands-on experience in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Participants will gain practical knowledge and skills in biomanufacturing and pharmaceutical biotech, contributing to Africa’s health security and vaccine independence. The program is designed to fill skill gaps in the continent's vaccine industry and boost local manufacturing capabilities.
Eligibility
Recent graduates within three years of completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biomanufacturing/Vaccine Manufacturing. Applicants must be citizens of an African Union member state with a valid passport and proficiency in English or French.
Benefits
