The Africa Digital Rights Fund (ADRF) has awarded USD 320,000 to 18 initiatives across 14 countries aimed at advancing digital rights, inclusion, and online safety. These grants will support projects that promote responsible data governance, enhance accessibility for persons with disabilities, and counter technology-facilitated gender-based violence, among other critical issues.
This funding round marks a significant milestone, bringing the total disbursed by ADRF to USD 1.3 million since its inception in 2019. The initiatives will tackle pressing digital challenges in various African nations, fostering digital resilience and promoting equitable access to technology.
Eligibility
Open to organizations based in the following countries: Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
