
Africa Fellows in Education Program 2026/2027 for Young Researchers (Fully Funded)
The Africa Fellows in Education Program (AFEP) is a prestigious two-year, fully funded research fellowship aimed at enhancing education policy expertise among young African researchers. This initiative focuses on building a strong network of policy researchers equipped with advanced skills in education economics, policy evaluation, and data analysis. The program combines academic training, applied research, and international exposure to empower participants to influence education policy effectively.
Eligibility
Applicants must be nationals of a Sub-Saharan African country, aged 35 years or younger, and hold a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field with a strong quantitative focus. They should demonstrate experience in quantitative data analysis and show a clear interest in education policy research. Proficiency in English is required, and female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Benefits
Fellows receive a research grant of $25,000 and up to $25,000 in additional funding for conference travel, mentorship support, and participation in workshops and training programs.
