African Development Bank Internship Program 2026 (Session 2)
The African Development Bank (AfDB) Internship Program 2026 – Session 2 offers a unique opportunity for students across member countries to gain hands-on professional experience within one of Africa’s leading development finance institutions. This program is designed to nurture the next generation of African professionals by providing exposure to real-world development projects and policy implementation.
Interns will work within various departments at the Bank’s Headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, or remotely, depending on departmental needs. The program aims to enhance participants’ understanding of development finance and institutional operations while building a pipeline of talented individuals for potential future recruitment.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be aged between 18 and 30 years at the start of the internship
- Be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program or apply within one year of completing such a degree
- Be a national of an AfDB member country
- Provide proof of enrollment or degree completion
- Be fluent in English or French (the Bank’s working languages)
- Possess strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SAP knowledge is an advantage)
Benefits
Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend and medical insurance coverage during the internship period.
