
African Union Internship Program 2026 for African Students (Unpaid)
The African Union Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates from African Union member states to gain practical work experience in a prestigious international organization. Interns will be placed in various AU departments, contributing to important initiatives across the continent while developing their professional skills in a multicultural environment.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of African Union Member States, actively enrolled in their final year of a Bachelor’s degree or have obtained a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field. Candidates should be no older than 32 years at the time of selection and must be fluent in at least one AU working language (English, French, Arabic, or Portuguese).
Benefits
The internship is unpaid, and participants are responsible for their own living and travel expenses. The AU may assist with visa processes where necessary.
