Applications are now open for the African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AU-YVC) 2026, a fully funded program designed to engage young Africans in development-focused volunteer service across Africa. This initiative promotes youth participation in Africa’s growth and integration agenda, allowing volunteers to contribute to various sectors such as education, health, agriculture, governance, and ICT.

Selected volunteers will gain practical international work experience, contribute to real development projects, and build a continental network of professionals. The program aims to strengthen pan-African collaboration and develop leadership skills aligned with Africa’s Agenda 2063.

Eligibility

To apply, candidates must:

  • Be a citizen of an African Union member state
  • Be aged 18–35 years
  • Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Be proficient in at least one AU working language (English, French, Arabic, Portuguese).

Applicants should also demonstrate a strong commitment to Africa’s development and willingness to work in multicultural environments.
