
Anthropic Fellows Program 2026 for AI Researchers (Fully Funded)
The Anthropic Fellows Program is designed to foster AI research and engineering talent. This program provides funding and mentorship to promising technical talent, regardless of previous experience. Fellows will work on empirical projects aligned with Anthropic's research priorities, aiming to produce public outputs such as research papers.
Participants will benefit from a collaborative environment, direct mentorship from experienced researchers, and access to a shared workspace in either Berkeley, California or London, UK. The program emphasizes the importance of AI safety and aims to contribute positively to society through reliable and interpretable AI systems.
Eligibility
Applicants should have a strong technical background in computer science, mathematics, or physics, and be motivated to ensure AI is safe and beneficial for society. Candidates must be fluent in Python programming and available to work full-time on the program. Experience in relevant research or engineering areas is preferred, and applicants should thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
Benefits
Fellows receive a weekly stipend of 3,850 USD / 2,310 GBP / 4,300 CAD, funding for compute (~$15k/month), and other research expenses.
