Apply to join COL’s Chairs Programme in 2026
The COL Chairs Programme invites distinguished experts from across the Commonwealth to advance research and innovation in open and distance learning. Established in 2010, this initiative supports effective education through advocacy, research, and capacity building, enhancing regional cooperation and COL's visibility.
Chairholders are expected to provide thought leadership in priority areas and apply their research in support of Sustainable Development Goal 4, promoting learning for sustainable development in alignment with COL’s Strategic Plan.
Eligibility
Applicants must be nationals of a Commonwealth country and demonstrate a strong track record in research and innovation in open, online, flexible, and distance education. Relevant topics include micro-credentials, employability, quality assurance, and technology-enabled learning.
