ARUA Early Career Research Fellowship 2026/2027 for African Researchers (Fully Funded)

The ARUA Early Career Research Fellowship is a prestigious opportunity for young African scholars aimed at strengthening Africa’s research ecosystem. This fully funded, six-month residential program connects early-career academics with elite research centers, providing mentorship and international exposure to enhance their academic impact.

Applicants must be:

• African nationals from any country in Africa.
• Early-career researchers or young academic staff (lecturers, postdoctoral researchers).
• Holders of a PhD degree in a relevant discipline, completed within the last 5 years.
• 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
• Available to spend 6 months away from their home institution.
