Astra Fellowship 2026 for Global Applicants (Fully Funded, $8,400 Monthly Stipend)
The Astra Fellowship 2026 AI Safety Program is a fully funded initiative aimed at fast-tracking global talent into impactful AI safety careers. Over five months in Berkeley, selected fellows will tackle real-world AI safety challenges under expert mentorship, gaining invaluable experience and networking opportunities with leading organizations like OpenAI and Google DeepMind.

Eligibility
Open to applicants from all countries. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in AI safety and possess a background in technical fields, policy, research, or related domains. Experience in AI safety is beneficial but not required. Applicants must be available for the full five-month in-person program.

Monthly stipend of $8,400, research funding of approximately $15,000 per month, visa guidance and support.
