
Become a Public Health Leader: Apply to the Young Professionals in Public Health 2026 Cohort
The Young Professionals in Public Health Programme (YPPH) is an initiative aimed at nurturing the next generation of public health leaders in West Africa. This program offers a unique blend of leadership development, hands-on training, mentorship, and experiential learning, empowering participants to tackle pressing health challenges in the region. YPPH is not just about theory; it’s about creating a movement of change-makers who are ready to make a real impact in public health.
Targeted at recent graduates and early-career professionals, YPPH provides structured pathways to deepen understanding of public health principles while applying skills in practical contexts. Participants will engage in various streams tailored to their career stages, ensuring they are equipped to lead and innovate in the public health sector.
Eligibility
Recent graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply. Specific pathways are designed for different age groups:
- DEAL Fellowship: Aimed at experienced professionals aged 30–40 with at least five years of experience (or three years with a master’s degree).
- HLLP: For young professionals and journalists aged 25–35.
- VIP: Open to recent graduates and early-career professionals.
