
Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellowship 2026/2027 for young emerging African Leaders
The Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellowship offers young emerging African leaders the chance to spend ten months at Chatham House in London, working on an individual research project of their choice. This fellowship is designed for candidates at the early-to-mid-stage of their careers, providing them with the opportunity to develop their skills and expand their professional networks in the field of international affairs.
Fellows will engage in core activities at the Institute, participate in a leadership programme, and receive a monthly stipend of £2,565 to cover living expenses. This fellowship not only supports personal research but also fosters leadership development through masterclasses and networking opportunities with global leaders.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of any African country or hold dual nationality that includes an African country. A completed BA degree or equivalent is required, along with experience in conducting research. There are no age restrictions for applicants.
Benefits
The fellowship covers a monthly stipend of £2,565 for living expenses, relocation costs, UK Immigration Health Surcharge, and research expenses related to field work, outreach, events, and publications.
