
CIP Research Fellowship 2026 for International Scholars (Fully Funded, Remote)
The CIP Research Fellowship 2026 offers a unique opportunity for researchers interested in AI, public values, democratic governance, and policy innovation. This fully remote, six-month fellowship allows scholars to conduct original, publishable research using exclusive datasets that are not available elsewhere. Selected fellows will receive a $9,000 stipend, mentorship, co-authorship opportunities, and access to unique data on global public attitudes toward AI.
CIP is seeking three research fellows for its pilot cohort, who will work with proprietary datasets from major research initiatives. This fellowship supports interdisciplinary work at the intersection of AI, democratic governance, public values, and more, making it accessible to researchers from around the world.
Eligibility
This fellowship is open to late-stage PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and independent scholars with strong research experience. International applicants are welcome, and researchers from various fields such as Political Science, Computational Social Science, Sociology, and Computer Science (ML/AI) are encouraged to apply.
Benefits
Fellows will receive a fixed stipend of $9,000, paid in three milestone-based tranches.
