Climate Democracy Accelerator 2026 for Innovators in Climate Action (With $10,000 Grants)
The Climate Democracy Accelerator (CDA) 2026 is a six-month global programme designed to support government and civil society leaders in advancing participatory approaches to climate action. This initiative focuses on empowering innovators to develop inclusive climate programmes that prioritize renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, and just climate transitions, amplifying local voices and involving communities in decision-making processes.
Thirty participants from around the world will be selected for this cohort, receiving mentorship, technical support, and a $10,000 implementation grant to help bring their projects to life.
Eligibility
Applications are open to government officials, policymakers, civil society organizations, NGOs, and climate advocates. Applicants must partner with a civil society organization or NGO, as grant funding cannot be awarded directly to government entities. Priority is given to applicants from Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Mexico, but applications are welcome from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and other regions worldwide. Lead participants must demonstrate proficiency in English, French, Portuguese, or Spanish.
Benefits
Selected participants will receive a $10,000 implementation grant, dedicated mentorship, access to training sessions, workshops, and online courses, as well as participation in peer learning networks. The top five action plans will receive an additional $15,000 award.
